CANCER need not be Scary

Researchers at Tulane University report that the 1-year survival rate among patients with pancreatic cancer was significantly higher among those who used a macrobiotic diet than among those who did not (17 months versus 6 months). The one-year survival rate was 54.2 percent in the macrobiotic patients versus 10.0 percent in the controls.

Whether or not you choose any of the conventional treatment approaches of radiation therapy, surgery, or chemotherapy, mentioned above; natural/lifestyle approaches can improve your chances.  Proper preventive practices make the more invasive screening tests, less compelling. BLISS gives you a  lifestyle and nutrition Plan, for healing(saying prevention that complements treatment means you are past the prevention point)  and complementing conventional medical treatment; combining opinions from many healthcare experts, including Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Mercola, Dr. Andrew Weil, and Dr. Deepak Chopra -- for your specific age, health status, type of cancer, weight, height, personality, budget, daily schedule, etc.

OVERVIEW

Cancer is a scourge of modern civilization.  In 1900, the death rate per 100,000 population, was 64; in 2011, it was 184.6 (a 188% increase).

Dr. Otis Brawley, the chief medical officer for the American Cancer Society: “...Essentially, what has happened is our technologies have gotten so good that we can find some early cancers, or things that look like cancer, that we now know, if left alone, would never grow, spread and harm the patient.  So we're actually treating some lesions that look like cancer unnecessarily.  What we're trying to do is spare some people the harms associated with unnecessary treatment…”

Signs and symptoms of cancer include: fatigue, skin changes, a new lump, a prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements, etc.

Cancer is often treated with some combination of radiation therapy, surgery, and chemotherapy.

COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE APPROACHES

For patients with metastatic prostate cancer, a case control study demonstrated that those who ate macrobiotically lived longer (177 months compared to 91 months) and enjoyed an improved quality of life.

In addition to choosing the correct diet (Macrobiotic, Mediterranean, Dash, Vegan, Ornish, Atkins, etc), there are numerous lifestyle adjustments which will help:

  1. Avoid all food containing artificial components (check the labels for: synthetic colors, flavors, preservatives, GMO, sweeteners)
  2. Cook your own meals, as much as possible -- using lower temperatures, and organic/local ingredients, whenever possible.  Use filtered water.
  3. Spend time outdoors, and keep windows (slit) open, to the extent weather permits
  4. Use natural cleaning substances (e.g. Hydrogen Peroxide, Vinegar)
  5. Wear loose-fitting clothes
  6. Avoid exposure to chemicals, electromagnetic radiation  (cell phones, microwave ovens)
  7. Lower stress (meditate, work-life balance)
  8. Optimal levels of exercise.  We show you how to achieve it with just 20 mins, alternate days.
  9. Substitute stevia for processed (refined) sugar
  10. and many more!
