In April 2017, a clinical study led by Johan Auwerx, MD, PhD, Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, found evidence that the life-extension capabilities demonstrated in mice and worms in 2016, can be applicable to humans.

- Increased the lifespan of C. elegans worms by 45 percent. (human equivalent is about 30+ years)
