Dr. Sean Subas

Founder/CEO

Dr. Sean Subas brings over 30 years of research into various holistic health modalities, and the corresponding electronic knowledge base, to BLISSinHEALTH - using the statistical knowledge gained in his Ph.D. program in Pattern Recognition/Artificial Intelligence. He is utilizing his expertise in Pattern Recognition, and his own personal experience and practice of most of the health care modalities listed herein, to integrate the knowledge developed within various health disciplines: Naturopathy; Traditional Chinese Medicine; Ayurveda; Psychotherapy; Yoga; Chi Gong; Homeopathy; Meditation; and Allopathy (mainly from a Functional Medicine viewpoint). Prior to BLISSinHEALTH, Dr. Subas was a Senior Business Consultant at the US Department of Commerce; where he received several national awards for innovation, business development and teamwork. As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Subas received his Ph.D. in EE/Computer Science and an M.S. in Biophysics from Purdue University . He also holds an M.B.A. - Finance from University of California, Berkeley, California. For over 20 years, he has successfully grown companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, which includes Silicon Valley, both as a senior executive and as a consultant; and has worked with venture capital sources and investment banks.

Ashok Kumar MD, CCP, CHC, AADP

Advisor

Dr. Kumar serves on the BLISS Medical Advisory Board. He is a board certified Perfusionist (CCP) -- practicing cardiovascular perfusion since early 90s in open heart surgery, in various New York hospitals. He is currently with the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Kumar received his certification in Functional Medicine from Functional Diagnostic Medicine University. He is certified as a Health Coach by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Lila Beckford, CPA

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Lila leads the Accounting, Finance and Administration departments of BLISS. She is charged with compliance and regulatory responsibilities.

Lila is an experienced executive with about 24 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. She has worked for both public and private companies in various industries including, Renewable Energy, UPS, SaaS, Medical Devices and Bio-tech. Further, she has built accounting and finance functions for start-up companies to get them audit-ready, within one year. She is also experienced in leading accounting, finance and compliance functions in other major international high-tech companies.

Lila is a leader in promoting strong corporate financial and operational risk management and optimization of business opportunities within a framework of good governance and business ethics. She had also negotiated and secured debt financing; and then complying with the covenant requirement associated with these debts. She is experienced in complying with SEC requirements including SOX regulation.

Lila has a BS, Business Administration (Accounting and Finance emphasis) from University of California, Berkeley and MBA from California State University, Hayward (Computer Information Systems Option). Further she is an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) registered at the state of California, USA.
